Beijing-Tianjin City Express Railway Scheduled For 2008

The Beijing-Tianjin City Express Railway currently under construction is scheduled to start operating by August 2008. It will transport passengers between the two cities in just 30 minutes.
The Tianjin Committee for Transportation says work has started on several bridges and the Tianjin station.
The State Committee of Reform and Development approved the proposal for the railway in September 2004.
