Xian: Some Travel Agencies Halt Tibet Tours

Some travel agencies in Xian in northwestern Chinas Shaanxi province have halted Tibet tours with the arrival of winter. Those still operating trips to Tibet have lowered prices by nearly 1,000 yuan.

Compared to summer, the number of visitors to Tibet in winter drops greatly. This is the main reason many travel agencies halt their Tibet tours.

Tibet in winter has its unique charm, but caution should be taken during trips in this season, a staff member at a travel agency in Xian warns.
